Sharon Isaac - Weight Loss Surgery Star 2008!
Sharon, who is now 39 years old, decided to consider weight loss surgery after a suspected stroke. Her husband called 999 and when the ambulance came the two male paramedics were unable to lift the stretcher Sharon was on. Although this scare was not as serious as it first appeared, she was diagnosed with having dangerously high cholesterol levels, which could quite easily have led to a life-threatening heart attack.
With her family and her own personal health in mind, she opted to have the Gastric Band fitted. Now a year later, Sharon is fighting fit, extremely active and regularly takes her son swimming and is loving every minute! She has now learned to work with her band and it's enabled her to control her food portions once and for all.

"My weight problem started at around the age of fifteen. My weight gradually increased over the years. By the time I reached my eighteenth birthday, I realised I needed to lose weight, and fast!
I decided to join a gym and crash dieted on tinned tomatoes and dry toast! This intense, strict regime worked because in less than six months I had lost over three stone and felt great. I thought my weight problem was over. I then met my husband at the age of twenty two, and fell into the trap of becoming too comfortable in my relationship, before I knew it I had put on all the weight I had originally lost.
